Jan C. Galeta

Born in the early 80s of the 20th century in Ostrava, where he still regularly returns from his current residence near Brno. He misses smell of smoke from the chimneys, feeling of coal under his feet and views of Beskydy mountains on horizon which could not be cured even with Palava hills in sight. As an eternal student, he was interested in several fields - from construction building, through English, to history and law. But finally he got the title as an art historian.

Around the year 2000, he became a member of Asterion team and participated in creating this fantasy world of RPG gaming through both manuals and articles in journals, mainly in the czech joural named Dech Draka/Dragon
Breath . During his early years he even contributed with a few Tolkien-loving articles into fanzines Imladris and Palantir.

He published his first short
fantasy stories in journals Dech Draka/Dragon Breath and Pevnost/Fortress as well as in book collections of short stories Zrozeni Modreho Mesice/Birth of Blue Moon and Mesto Prizraku/City of Phantasm. Historical-fiction story about the prince Borivoj and princess Ludmila was published as a part of Wilth Ahwa book, his last tale can be found in anthology of  "rough fantasy" named Temne Casy/ Dark Times.

Moreover, so far he published three novels. The first Lvi Lucembursti/Lions
of Luxembourg, is a historical novel with elements of fiction, set during the days when Jobst of Luxembourg ruled medieval Moravia in the 14th century. Second, Cesty Snu/Journey of Dreams, which he wrote together with Zbynek Kucera Holub, is a classic fantasy adventure from the world of Asterion. The third and latest novel - Sip v zadech/Arrow in the Back, also takes place on Asterion, but that is a dark urban action fantasy with a comely assassin woman in the main character.
